One
of the strangest projects I have had to work on was the Abstinence
project. As you may well know abstinence is choosing not to do something.
In this case it's sex. The dilemma .. How do you depict in a mural not
doing something. Ok the client wanted it so I rose to the task at hand. I
decided to go with young people doing things together but not having sex.
So you have images of young people studying and reading becoming who they
set out to be without the weight of pregnancy or STDs. I conveyed that
with a scale scene. With such a heavy subject and a already whimsically
decorated room. I used a light kind of cartoon style . |
